What to Expect?
BOAT? You will be fishing out of a
2002 520DVX
Ranger Bass Boat (21 feet long) so you will be more than comfortable ,even
if the wind blows. I'm running an
Evinrude 225 H.O. motor and it is awesome!
Tackle?
I will provide all of the tackle, rods and reels.
All of the equipment is high quality and easy to use. I will provide
bait casting as well as spinning gear. You are welcome to bring as much of
your own gear as you would like, especially if you have a lucky lure or fishing
pole. Live bait is extra.
Food and drink?
I have a large cooler on board, so bring water and your favorite snack
or you can get every thing at Roland Martins Marina. We also have a
great restaurant so you will be able to grab a good breakfast and
they will also make you a boxed lunch to go.
Sunglasses and
sunscreen? Try to bring your favorite sun screen and if you forget, don't
worry I have plenty. Make sure your sun glasses are polarized this will help
you see much more.
Lake Okeechobee is very shallow and clear and if you come when the bass are
spawning you will see a lot of fish.
Winter months?
Bring some warm clothes! It will usually be cold in the morning and it will
warm up quickly in the late morning. Our air temp. in the winter
usually around 70-75 degrees and our water temp. is usually 65-75 degrees.
