Nov. 2007

The Bass fishing has been very good on lake Okeechobee when the wind has is not blowing hard, the rim canal that surrounds the lake has been getting really good. The weather for the last month has been a little chilly and the water temps have been around 62-68 in the lake and the water levels are holding around 10.3 ft.. The south end of the lake have been producing some nice bass but has been staying a little muddy and Clewiston area has been staying a little cleaner and has been pretty good for some nice bass action. The rim canal is the most consistent area with the water staying very clear, you will want to look for cover in the canal as well as any rocky areas on the shore. The bass on the north end of the lake are starting to school up out in the lake and this area is a good choice when the wind is blowing out of the north. Big worms and lipless crankbait are very hard to beat right now in the lake and deeper diving cranks, Carolina rigs and spot remover jig heads with small worms are the best in the canals
