Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing Reports

This summer has been real good for the big fish compared to the typical past years.
The water is high and still a little stained, But I think this is helping us some this year because the big fish are staying up in the grass.

Rattle traps are working well on the outside grass lines in the morning and also us them around the cuts in the canal ( Water Flow).
The flipping bite is good in the floating grass mats and the cattail clumps ( watermelon-candy Brush hogs)
The shiner fish has been taking alot of fish in the 3-7lbs range while the bass on lures are averaging around 2 lbs with the common 8 or 9 lbs.
 You just never now when you will "whack the Big One" this time of year?
