Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing Reports

The weather has been wonderful and the fishing has been pretty good to. We have been catching some real big fish but it has not been a every day thing for me. Every day the fishing is a little different and I am going all over the lake to fishing other areas to stay on the clear water. Shiners are still the best way to catch the big ones right now and the top water bite has been good in the moonshine area. Bay bottom has produced the biggest fish over the last few weeks on shiners and the 10 inch worm fished around the cattails is producing good too.
The everglades are producing some good action as well on top water and flukes. the average day in the glades are around 30-50 bass in the 1.5 - 3.0 range and with a good chance of finding a real giant (8-10lbs) on the bed. On Feb 20 Russell Lawrence from Alabama caught a 9.4 with me in the glades.
