Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing Reports

Here you can read the latest bass fishing reports from Scott Martin, Professional Tournament Angler, and Professional Bass Guide on Lake Okeechobee.

April 2003

holes in the grass, Senko's with a 1/32 oz weight as well a watermelon fluke rigged the same has been the most productive combination this year.
The top water action can be very exciting this time of year early in the morning or if it is a cloudy day. Zara spooks, devils horse or a pop-r is my favorite choice.
The shiner fishing is still producing some large catches, but as the water warms up the live bait fishing will start to slow down a little. What I mean by this is that after 10:00 am the water starts to warm up and the fish will usually eat artificial lures better.
So plan your trip to the Big ‘O’ as soon as you can. And please feel free to call or e-mail any time if you have any questions about fishing on Lake Okeechobee.
Bass Wishes,
Scott R. Martin
